Vintage Books is a playful take on the speakeasy that’s full of character. Located in the lively Kaimuki neighborhood just outside of Waikiki in Oʻahu, we designed the space with the idea of layers in mind. At first, you’re welcomed by a cozy 90s-style mom-and-pop bookstore. But step through the hidden door, and the atmosphere shifts into a moody, sophisticated lounge with rich wood, velvet, soft lighting, and details that tie all together. A space that unfolds like a good story-familiar, layered, and just a little unexpected.
